Success On A Plate!

When OASSC wanted to mark the milestone event of Coley and Jimmy’s 1,000th game as a management duo, we were in a bit of a quandary. Let’s face it, there can’t be much room left on either man’s mantelpiece, what with all the awards and accolades they’ve amassed during a lifetime’s service to the beautiful game – so another addition to the gong collection would soon have been forgotten.

We wanted to do something for Coley and Jimmy (and their other halves) that would be unforgettable – and that’s when Craig Jackson stepped in. Craig’s a dedicated Stanley fan and a Big Cheese at one of the North of England’s most exclusive food and drink destinations, namely Northcote, in Langho. Craig gave us a call,  wondering how Northcote could get involved with Stanley. Talk about good timing!

And so it came to pass that we were able to organise something a bit special for our management duo and for once, we took them by surprise: dinner at a Michelin starred restaurant, with a  menu created special for the occasion by Head Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen, followed by an overnight stay in one of the few hotels in the country to be listed by Relais and Châteaux.

We were delighted to reward Coley and Jimmy in this unique way on behalf of the Stanley fans and we’d like to thank Craig – and all our new best friends at Northcote – for making it happen.
