Ee, who’d a thowt it?
We’d barely finished waving ‘ta’ra’ to Jung Min Yoo, (as he set off for home in Seoul, South Korea), before it was time to say ‘hallo’ to a group of traveling fans from The Netherlands.

Ruiz van Twiller, Eric Reumer; Remco van Twiller, Harry van Stappershoef; Max Damen, Sander Luijten; Paul Reumer and Tom van Sichem come from the neighbouring cities of Amsterdam and Almere and they’ve been supporting Stanley since the early nineties, having come across us in the computer game Football Manager.
The footy friends first visited us 3 years ago . Unfortunately, that time around, when they were due to watch the EFL league 2 game versus Notts County, they were thwarted when a waterlogged pitch put paid to proceedings. They had to wait another year to see their first Accy action, an FA Cup 3rd round tie against Luton Town, in which Omar Beckles notched the winner.
The lads’ latest visit, for the EFL League 1 game against Bristol Rovers, was notable for a couple of ‘firsts’: Max Reumer, the 17 year old son of Paul, made his debut as a member of the posse – :-)) – and we drew 0-0 for the first time in ages :-((
So, no goals to celebrate, but a couple of good photos to add the the album. What’s for sure, they told us, is this: they’ll be back!
