Groundhopper Drops In!

As a Bayern Munich Season Ticket holder used to making a 634 mile (1,020 Km) round trip to the Allianz Arena from his home in Neuwied, it is no surprise that a midweek trip to England to ‘pick up’ another ground didn’t faze Groundhopper Marco Lindner!

The Wham Stadium was Ground No. 87 for Marco to cross off his list (well, his Groundhopper phone App actually) leaving Burton, Scunthorpe, Lincoln, Rotherham and Salford to complete “The 92”.

Marco had intended to visit Salford as he also follows Leeds. However, tickets were scarce and he changed plans and headed off to Accrington having flown in to Manchester from Berlin.

The Carabao Cup game against Sunderland was actually Marco’s second time watching Stanley, as The Reds were Plymouth Argyle’s opponents when he visited Home Park to see a goalless draw a few seasons ago.

OASSC Chairman, Peter Leatham welcomed Marco to Accrington and you never know, there’s every chance that Marco could see The Reds again this season at Burton or possibly Rotherham – hopefully to witness a Stanley win!
