The Life-Saving Efforts of Soggy Stanley Supporters

On 2nd October, 13 Stanley fans did two sponsored walks, one starting at Ewood Park, Blackburn and the second from Rochdale FC and walked to The Wham Stadium, Accrington before the big game against Ipswich Town.

Soggy but unbeaten – the walkers in the dugout, ready for the Ipswich match

£1000 of the funds raised will go to Hyndburn Baby Bank, a non-profit organisation who provide great support in our community, while the remaining money will go towards the provision of a potentially life-saving defibrillator to be placed outside the ground and therefore accessible at all times to the general public, and not just on match days, as the club already has one inside the ground for match-day use.

STOP PRESS: A bucket collection (organised by Andy Buckel of the Trust) at the ground raised a phenomenal £407.66 bringing the projected total raised to over £1600 – 160% of the target!
