On Saturday 16th November, two groups of hardy Stanley Supporters undertook the 2024 Jack Barrett Memorial Sponsored Walk in aid of Accrington Stanley and Hyndburn Food Pantry a local registered charity.

The name Jack Barrett is still widely revered at Accrington Stanley with one of the stands bearing his name in recognition of his famous fundraising walk from Liverpool to Accrington in 1968. From His walk was one of the catalysts which resulted in the rebirth of Accrington Stanley in 1968 and earned Jack the Freedom of the Borough in later years.
We would like to say a Special Thank You to Karen Moor, who is the Community Champion at ASDA Accrington, for providing / donating the refreshments
