We were delighted to be part of the Accrington Carnival procession earlier today. The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice some shirts from down the years worn by our carnival crew.
Joining out mascot Winstanley, it was great to have Becki and Payton from our women’s team handing out flags, our Forces Veterans team joining in, Jo and Alwyn handing out footballs, Dean banging the drum and Big Ste dishing out red and yellow cards!
Special thanks to first team players Connor O’Brien, Alex Henderson and Tyler Walton who gave up their time to join in and carry flags, to Mark from Mark’s Carpets for supplying our artificial turf, Peter from Earl Transport for supplying the trailer and safely driving the float.
Finally, thanks to Jason, Brewster and Alex for their time, effort and thought in coming up with new banners and decorating the trailer and to Matt for helping put it back to normal!
