One of the privileges of my role as Chaplain at ASFC is to give comfort and support to families who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
Did you know that at Accrington Stanley we have a wonderful Memorial Garden situated near the Club shop?
During the last month I have conducted ceremonies for 2 very much loved fans. After their Plaques were mounted on the wall and their names written in our Book of Remembrance, it was their final wishes to have their ashes interred at our Memorial Garden.
It was also lovely to be given a donation from Peter’s family for Maundy Relief Foodbank Collection which was held prior to the Bradford City match. Even fans from Bradford brought their donations.
