2021 – The story so far…
It’s July, England have just won the World Cup and…oh, no, that was 1966. Ah well, after all the recent international excitement, hope and disappointment, real football fans can get back to real football and support their clubs on cold wet Tuesday nights in November.
Yes, season tickets are actually on sale and we’re even able to buy tickets for a Saturday 3pm game, a friendly against Bradford. Phrases like ‘back to normal’ might still ring a bit hollow but currently the plan is definitely to have as normal a season as possible.
It’s great to see that Coley is busy signing up tons of talent, too. He’s certainly intent on building on last year’s great squad; but let’s stop all this talk of reaching the playoffs – it’s automatic promotion we want!
As soon as the picture becomes clear, we are planning to organise away travel again and we will publicise it as soon as we can.
Wham stadium developments
The new building at the ground is progressing so quickly that it’s hard to keep up with the work. Last month, when the Club 1968 draw was being held, Andy Holt gave us a guided tour of the building, by following the link below, you can watch the video.
Here are a few of Andy’s latest photos of the work being done

Academia and football
Josh Bland, a West Brom fan and researcher at Cambridge University, is doing post-graduate work which focuses on Stanley and the club’s relationship with the town and its history. If you have ten minutes to spare, there is a survey you can complete which would assist him.
